The URSA X Strap is a specialised upper-body strap designed as a single solid unit with no Velcro, making it extremely durable, secure and easy to fit. Simple pull the X Strap over your head and it sits comfortably around the chest and over the shoulders.

Ideal for theatre, live sports wiring & film production where you need super secure, non-slip mic+transmitter rigs on performers.

All-In-One Chest Strap / Back Strap Design

Constructed as a solid, continuous unit without Velcro, enhancing durability and stability during extreme movement or active use.
The X-strap shape distributes weight evenly across shoulders and chest for comfortable extended wear.

Integrated Mic & Transmitter Pouches

Four mic pouches along the chest hold lavalier microphones such as DPA 6060 & 4060 diameter mics securely.
One pouch designed for an URSA MiniMount and a larger pouch for bigger lavs like the Sanken RM11.
Two smaller pouches on each shoulder strap offer alternative side-mounted positions for additional mic packs.

Built-In Cable Management

Internal cable sleeves help route and secure cables neatly along the harness - keeping wires out of the way and reducing accidental tugs or noise.

MDM

This mic pack holder was used in a recent stage production where the lead had many costume changes throughout the show. It worked well because it kept the microphone pack and cords on the actor instead of having to take the pack out of a pocket or attached to a belt-line. The performer said that it was fairly comfortable and basically non-irritating. It should be hand-washed after any long use, especially if the performer sweats heavily. It was easy enough to put on, over the head like a t-shirt. It is easier to put in the mic pack after getting the holder on the body, so a second set of hands makes the process easier. The strap material is very stretchy and held the mic pack in place without a problem. In terms of performance, this mic pack worked excellently and made quick changes in our show much easier and faster.

URSA makes fantastic products, and this is no exception. The fabric and stitching are of great quality, and upon inspection there are no areas of concern related to manufacturing quality. I plan to use this with my Rode Wireless Go 3 and Lavalier Go lavs for stable and discrete recording. The material is thin stretchy and comfortable. The bands are a little high under the armpit, but not uncomfortable, and it does help minimize any movement or creep once positioned.
