URSA Straps was founded in 2015 by UK-based couple Sound Mixer Simon Bysshe and Costume Designer Laura Smith. What began as a small project making prototypes by hand from their home in London has grown into an internationally recognised brand trusted by sound professionals in Film, Television & Theatre.
Production soon scaled up with experienced UK manufacturers allowing URSA to expand its product line beyond straps into a full range of microphone accessories. Since launching URSA has introduced industry favourites such as Foamies, Plush Circles, URSA Tape, MiniMounts, Popper Pouches , Soft Soles & many more!
Today, all URSA products are manufactured in the United Kingdom and distributed directly from our Hertfordshire headquarters to sound professionals and retailers worldwide.
